STER conference is an annual event for students and recent graduates of education programmes in Ireland. Students and graduates are invited to present the findings of their research dissertations and talk about their experience of engaging with and in education research. The STER conference acknowledges and promotes research being conducted by students in initial teacher education and other education programmes in Ireland, and the emphasis is on developing a student-led, collaborative approach to research and dissemination. All types of presentation require an outline of the research question, research design and a few key findings (or preliminary findings) that would be of interest to others. The conference is attended by students (from early years, ITE, post-primary education and education studies).
